Bank of the Islands donates to Power Squadron

Bank of the Islands recently made its latest non-profit donation through its “We Love Our Islands” program.  Longtime islanders John and Kelly Seaman were the lucky winners. The Seamans selected the local chapter of the United States Power Squadrons to receive the Bank’s $800 donation.

This donation marks $146,600 given away to date through Bank of the Islands’ “We Love Our Islands” program. It also represents the sixth donation since the Bank doubled the weekly outlay for the program.

“We’re so pleased the Seamans chose the Power Squadron for our latest donation,” said Bank of the Islands President Robbie Roepstorff. “This group has taught so many first-time boaters and those new to our coastal waters how to enjoy them safely and keep our water-based recreation among the best in the world. They have been such a formative group for ensuring safe nautical operators along the Gulf of Mexico coastline, rivers and estuaries surrounding Sanibel and Captiva and all over our country’s waterways. This donation is a great way to show how much we appreciate being your island bank.”
