Bank of the Islands Supports Garland of Goodwill Project

Bank of the Islands is pleased to announce it has become a key supporter of the Garland of Goodwill Project, a community initiative of the City of Sanibel. When completed, the Garland will weave together messages of hope, gratitude, and good cheer – gathered from residents, visitors and members of the island business community – into a beautiful holiday display to be unveiled in December 2025.

The project kicked off at the Sanibel Recreation Center on Independence Day, where participants wrote their messages on fabric ribbons. To ensure everyone has a chance to contribute message ribbons, Bank of the Islands is joining other businesses and non-profits to provide convenient points of participation from now through Labor Day.

“Since the opening of the time capsule last November, Bank of the Islands has been proudly engaged in planning events to recognize the 50th anniversary of the City of Sanibel’s founding,” said Bank President Robbie Roepstorff. “This latest activity is such a great way for each of us to offer a personal message of celebration. Please stop by our Sanibel office and join in the fun.”

The Bank of the Islands Sanibel office is located at 1699 Periwinkle Way at the intersection of Casa Ybel Road. Chilled water, freshly brewed coffee, and freshly baked cookies will be offered throughout office hours to everyone stopping by to create a message ribbon for the Garland of Goodwill.
