Bank of the Islands Wins 3 Best of the Islands Awards
It was a clean sweep for Bank of the Islands at the September 9 awards luncheon hosted by Breeze Newspapers and its Islander publication.
The annual competition, designed to highlight the businesses, community leaders, and service providers on Sanibel and Captiva, encourages islanders to vote for their favorites in numerous categories.
Bank of the Islands was nominated in three categories – Best Bank, Best Financial Services, and Best Mortgage Broker. As has been the case in earlier years, the bank won in every category in which it was nominated.
“Given the very worthy nominees we were competing against, we are so grateful to have won in all three of our categories,” said Bank President Robbie Roepstorff. “We sincerely thank our bank customers and island neighbors who voted for us!”
As the oldest locally owned and managed community bank in Lee County, Bank of the Islands is proud to be the winner of more than 50 “Best of the Islands” awards. We’re especially honored to be voted Best Bank, Best Financial Services, and Best Mortgage Broker for 2025-2026. The Bank has retained a 5-Star Superior Rating from BauerFinancial for more than a decade. The Sanibel office of Bank of the Islands is located at 1699 Periwinkle Way, at the corner of Casa Ybel Road. The Captiva office is at 14812 Captiva Drive, next to the Captiva Post Office.
