Edison National Bank/Bank sponsors 2026 Golden Apple Teacher Recognition Program

Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands was proud to sponsor the 2026 Golden Apple Teacher Recognition Program and its gala, held April 24 at the Caloosa Sound Convention Center in downtown Fort Myers. The bank contributed $5,000 in support of the 39th annual event.

This year, the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools honored six teachers with the Golden Apple Award and 30 teachers with the Teachers of Distinction. Started by the Foundation, Golden Apple Award recipients represent the best of the teachers in The School District of Lee County.

The 2026 Golden Apple Award winners include:

  • Cameron Brooks – Tice Elementary School
  • Alisa Brown – Diplomat Middle School
  • Darielle Callender – Franklin Park Elementary School
  • Joseph Giangreco – The Sanibel School
  • Elizabeth O’Connor – Ray V. Pottorf Elementary School
  • Quinn Schnabel – Diplomat Middle School

“We are honored to support the Golden Apple Teacher Recognition Program and celebrate the incredible educators who shape our community,” said Robbie Roepstorff, president of Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands. “Teachers truly touch all of our lives in some way, and we are proud to help recognize their dedication, passion and lasting impact on students across Lee County.”
