Heather Harrison marks 25 years with Bank of the Islands.

Harrison Celebrates 25 Years at Bank of the Islands

Bank of the Islands CEO Geoffrey Roepstorff and President Robbie Roepstorff surprised Teller Operations Supervisor Heather Harrison with a celebration marking her 25th anniversary as a Bank employee.

“Incredibly, Heather has been a valued member of our customer service team for a quarter-century,” said the Roepstorffs. “Recognizing that our Bank is in its 29th year of operations, Heather’s tenure really demonstrates she has been part of our banking family practically from the start. We’re so happy to highlight this milestone with her!”

Because her August 1 anniversary date fell on a Saturday, Harrison was surprised with a celebratory luncheon and recognition gift on July 31.

“My fellow bankers are such a special group of people,” said Harrison. “We are so lucky to work together in providing great service to our valued customers.”

Heather has been a Southwest Florida resident since 1982. She has enjoyed volunteering at many island events over the years, including CROW’s Taste of the Islands, the Sanibel School Fund’s Seahorse Festival, and Sanibel’s Fourth of July Parade.

As the oldest locally owned and managed community bank in Lee County, Bank of the Islands is proud to be the winner of more than 50 “Best of the Islands” awards. We’re especially honored to be voted Best Bank, Best Financial Services, and Best Mortgage Broker for 2025-2026.
