Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands sponsors 10th annual Kids Tag Art program

Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands was proud to sponsor the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools’ 10th annual Kids Tag Art program, held at South Fort Myers High School.

The celebration recognized student achievements and provided critical funding to support elementary art classrooms across the district. The Lee County Tax Collector and the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools honored 91 fifth graders for their creativity in this year’s program. As a result, 46 elementary art teachers each received $500 to help fund their classrooms.

The Kids Tag Art program invites fifth-grade students to design a decorative license plate. The program was inspired by Florida’s selection of more than 100 specialty plate options that fund causes such as education, environmental conservation and health initiatives. Since 2016, the Kids Tag Art program has raised more than $315,000 for local elementary art programs.

“We are proud to encourage and support our local youth through the Kids Tag Art program,” said Robbie Roepstorff, president of Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands. “Programs like this not only celebrate creativity but also ensure our teachers have the resources they need to inspire and make a lasting impact on students in our community.”
