Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands supports America’s 250th birthday celebration in downtown Fort Myers

Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands was proud to support America’s 250th birthday celebration, hosted by the City of Fort Myers and the River District Alliance, during Fourth of July weekend in downtown Fort Myers. The bank donated $2,500 to the ‘76 Reignited Fund at Collaboratory to help the City of Fort Myers offset event costs.

The free, two-day community celebration brought residents and visitors together to commemorate the historic milestone with family-friendly festivities. Events included an Americana-themed Art Walk, free live concerts at Caloosa Sound Amphitheater, a patriotic ceremony, and a fireworks and drone show.

“We’re honored to support events like this that bring our community together,” said Robbie Roepstorff, president of Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands. “America’s 250th birthday is a remarkable milestone, and we’re proud to help make this celebration possible for the families and businesses who make Fort Myers a great place to live.”

Bank of the Islands was also proud to join the City of Sanibel and The Bondurant Family Team at Kingfisher Real Estate in forming the planning committee for the Fourth of July festivities on Sanibel.
